I explore the confusing landscape of modern day femininity and how my identity as a woman is entangled in it. My images embrace straight photography and incorporate elements of digital manipulation or visual deception. The photographs rely heavily on color and repetitive imagery, such as polka dots, blonde hair and the female form to convey an overtly feminine presence. The use of heavy editing makes these images unlike the typical photographic representation of women but still calls attention to the commonality of manipulated images.
